How to Convert a List of Images Into One PDF File in Linux-Based Distros

You can easily convert a list of images into a single PDF file with a single command in Terminal. Just make sure to do the following beforehand:

  • Copy all image files to an empty directory/folder
  • cd to that directory

For example, I have created a directory in Documents named test and then put all the image files in it. Then I executed the following command to cd.

cd Documents/

cd test/

Then the final command:

convert *.jpg desired_file_name.pdf

If you don’t have imagemagick installed in your system, then it won’t work. Install imagemagick beforehand with the following command:

sudo apt-get install imagemagick

Your PDF file would be ready in that folder/directory.
