How to Go From Root User Mode to Normal User Mode in Terminal Without Closing It?

You can switch to root user mode by entering the following in a terminal:

su

Upon pressing the Enter key, the prompt would ask for root password. Give it and you would be in the root user mode.
Again, to go from root user mode to normal user mode, type in the following in a terminal:

su username

Here username is the username you want to switch to. For example, if ‘bird‘ is your username, then the command would be:

su bird

This way you would switch to normal user mode.
