How to Load Webpages Without Images in Web Browsers

Sometimes you might need to load web pages without loading images. The reason behind this maybe faster page loading or anything in particular. Whatever the reason may be, here’s I’m showing the way to load web pages without images while browsing using popular web browsers e.g. Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer(popular?!?).
For Mozilla Firefox
  • For Linux version of Firefox, go to Edit > Preferences.
  • For Windows version of Firefox, go to Tools > Options.
  • Click Content Tab.
  • Uncheck Load Images Automatically.
  • If you want any exceptions, like you may want to load images only for Facebook. Other sites have to load without images. In that case, you’ll find Exceptions… button right to the Load Images Automatically. Click Exceptions and add any site for which you want to load images.

For Google Chrome

  • Go to Settings > Options.
  • Under the Hood > Privacy > Content Settings > Images.
  • Now click on the radio button Do not show any images.
  • You can add any exception for any site.

For Internet Explorer

  • Go to Tools > Internet Options
  • Go to Advanced Tab.
  • Go to Multimedia category.
  • Uncheck the option Show pictures.
  • That’s it.

Restarting the browser may apply in some cases.
