How to Remove Cairo-Dock Completely From Ubuntu and Its Derivatives

I installed Cairo-dock and then figured I don’t need it. I installed it then. But I could still see it in my Applications list. So I have to completely uninstall cairo-dock using the following procedure:

  • Open terminal window and execute the following commands. This would completely remove cairo-dock and all of its plug-ins.

sudo apt-get purge cairo-dock cairo-dock-plug-ins && sudo apt-get autoremove
