Simply Hide Files and Folders in Linux Distributions

Hiding files and folders in Linux based distributions are pretty easy. The process is same for both the cases of files and folders. While renaming the files and/or folders, put a period sign, “.(without double quotes) before the name/s. For example, if the name if example, then put a “.(without double quotes) before the name like .example and it would be hidden.

So see the hidden files and/or folders, use Ctrl + h from the keyboard. It would show you the hidden files and/or folders in the current folder/directory. To vanish the hidden files and/or folders from eyesights, again press Ctrl + h. This acts like toggle keys. It’s that easy.
